After years of hard work and strategic planning, the Publishers of the widely read magazine, Port Harcourt Magazine has finally unveiled their month long plan to honour deserving individuals across industries in the State.
The Port Harcourt Magazine Awards (PHMA) is aimed to reward individuals who have made a mark in fashion, hospitality, entertainment, broadcasting, sports, leadership sectors.
No doubt, there are numerous award organisations in the City who are doing incredibly well but speaking to BelieveAllBlog concerning his upcoming event, Mr Kendrick Christian, the convener of the Port Harcourt Magazine Awards, explained that "the aim is to celebrate worthy persons/individuals in this part of the world. Also to build an award event that will propel excellence."
He added that the event night will be "glamorous and fun" as everything have been put in place to entertain awardees and guest who will witness the maiden edition of PHMA on 13 August, 2021.
It is not easy to host a maiden edition of event of this magnitude but, to Organisers of Port Harcourt Magazine Awards, it looked like light has been discovered at the end of the tunnel.
Amongst other things, Mr. Christian revealed to this blog that there will be display of rich culture of Rivers State to the participants. According to him; "We can't let this big opportunity go without selling our cultural heritage."
He also said his team have agreed to scrap ticketing for the event to enable lovers and readers of Port Harcourt Magazine Magazine attend without excuse.
The award night is also expected to be transmitted across social media platforms to give those outside the State and country opportunity to have a feel of the event.
At this point, we look forward attending this prestigious event and joining others in writing the history book for Port Harcourt Magazine Awards, PHMA.
